Semarang, January 11, 2025 – PT Geoforce Indonesia has entered into a strategic partnership with Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum (Politeknik PU) Semarang to enhance vocational education in the field of civil engineering. The partnership agreement was signed during the peak event of the LUSTRUM I of Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum.

The agreement covers various areas of education, including human resource development, which will be carried out through the provision of guest lecturers, speakers, mentors, and coaches for seminars, lectures, practical work, technical guidance, and internships. These activities will involve students, educators, and academic staff from Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum.

In addition, the collaboration between PT Geoforce Indonesia and Politeknik PU includes student internship programs, joint research, and community service projects carried out through the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This initiative aims to strengthen student involvement in the industry and enrich their practical experience.

"This partnership is expected to create beneficial synergies for both parties, both academically and practically, ultimately improving the quality of human resources in the public works sector," said Mr. Dandung Sri Harninto, President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia.

During the same event, both parties agreed to conduct field visits to the projects owned by PT Geoforce Indonesia. These visits will provide students and educators with firsthand insights into the practical application of their academic knowledge. Additionally, PT Geoforce Indonesia is committed to facilitating job placements for graduates of Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum in accordance with the company’s needs.

The collaboration also includes the utilization of both parties’ facilities and infrastructure, as well as potential partnerships in other areas that support the strengthening of vocational education.

The signing ceremony was attended by several key officials, including the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Mr. Doddy Hanggodo, the Vice Minister of PUPR Mrs. Diana, and Mr. Agus Yudhoyono, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development. This event marked an important milestone in strengthening the relationship between the industrial sector and the educational sector, opening up greater opportunities for Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum students to pursue careers in the construction and infrastructure development sectors.

Thursday, December 19, 2024, Trangasindo held a Sharing Knowledge event in collaboration with PT Geoforce Indonesia, focusing on the important topic of "The Use of Geosynthetics in the Construction World." The event aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the benefits and applications of geosynthetics in various construction projects.

The event, which was filled with enthusiasm, featured Yashinta Anbya, S.T M.T, Sales Engineer at PT Geoforce Indonesia, as the main speaker, and Endri Afrisam as the moderator. Yashinta began by introducing the fundamental concept of geosynthetics, a material widely used in construction to improve soil quality and stability.

In her presentation, Yashinta explained various applications of geosynthetics, including soft soil stabilization, slope reinforcement, and the use of geomembrane liners, which are highly effective in infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and other construction developments.

To make the session more interactive, Yashinta incorporated an engaging game that helped participants better understand the material. The attendees were very enthusiastic, as seen by the numerous questions asked during the dynamic and lively Q&A session.

Palangkaraya, December 10th, 2024 – The 2024 Regional Road Day Seminar, held in Palangkaraya, successfully attracted participants from various sectors. The event, which took place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, carried the theme "Innovations and Technologies in Road and Bridge Infrastructure for Your Infrastructure, Safe and Sustainable in Supporting Food and Energy Security." The seminar aimed to explore the latest innovations in road and bridge infrastructure that can support sustainable food and energy security.

The seminar featured several expert speakers in their respective fields, including Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., the President Director of PT Geoforce Indonesia. During the session, he was accompanied by Nadya Ayu Anindita, Engineering Manager at PT Geoforce Indonesia, to present an insightful discussion on the application of geosynthetic technology in road and bridge construction.

Mr. Dandung presented a case study on the use of geosynthetics for strengthening roads and embankments. On November 28th and December 5th, 2024, PT Geoforce Indonesia held a guest lecture at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, specifically for the Geotechnical Construction Methods course. The event was led by Ir. Dandung Sri Harninto, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., the President Director, and Nadya Dita Ayu Anindita, the Engineering Manager of PT Geoforce Indonesia.

During the guest lecture, Mr. Dandung and Dita discussed topics on Geosynthetics and provided a case study on the Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall. The presentation covered the definition of geosynthetics, their characteristics, the polymers used in their production, and various types of geosynthetics commonly used in the construction industry. On November 16, 2024, the GI-Tube project at the Semarang-Demak Toll Road welcomed a visit from Keluarga Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan, Departemen Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This visit aimed to deepen students' understanding of the industrial world and broaden their perspectives on the application of the theories they have learned in the classroom.

The event began with a presentation from the team at PT Geoforce Indonesia (GI), providing insights into the ongoing GI-Tube project. After the presentation, the program continued with a discussion and Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in direct dialogue with the industry practitioners.

Yogyakarta, September 28, 2024 – Students from the Master of Civil Engineering program at Universitas Islam Riau visited the Yogyakarta – Bawen Toll Road Project, Section 1. This visit is part of the "Geoforce Goes To Campus" program.

During the visit, the Geoforce Indonesia team provided an in-depth explanation of the GSRW (Geoforce Segmental Retaining Wall) construction process applied to the Yogyakarta – Bawen Toll Road Project, Section 1. Geotechnical experts from PT Geoforce Indonesia elaborated on the methods for constructing mechanically stabilized earth retaining walls using large panel types, offering valuable insights into current geotechnical techniques.

This activity not only provided students with the opportunity to observe the GSRW construction process firsthand but also allowed students and faculty to engage in discussions with geotechnical experts from PT Geoforce Indonesia.
